Common use
SleepWell is the medication which contains Sceletium Tortuosum and Gladiolus raw material. It decreases irritability, anxiety, helps the patient fall asleep easier and have a restful, deep sleep. On awaking the patient usually feels refreshed and energetic.
Dosage and direction
Take 1 capsule of Sleep Well in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening, half hour before going to sleep with a full glass of water. Daily dosage may reach 3 capsules but not more.
Precautions
Before to take this medication notify your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to be pregnant, breastfeeding, have glaucoma or a predisposition for glaucoma, liver problems, lung problems or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, muscle problems, depression, porphyria, a history of substance abuse, drink alcoholic beverages or smoke cigarettes.
Contraindications
No contraindications for this medication. Before to take this medication check with your health care professional if you are pregnant or nursing.
Possible side effect
Severe side effects are not expected but in rare cases some patients may experience drowsiness or dizziness, mental/mood changes, slurred speech, clumsiness, trouble walking, decreased/increased interest in sex, yellowing eyes or skin, allergic reaction (hives, swelling of throat, face, or tongue, rash).
Drug interaction
These drugs are able to interact with Sleep Well (Herbal Ambien): Rifampin or St. John's wort, azole antifungals (itraconazole, ketoconazole, fluconazole, voriconazole), delavirdine, sodium oxybate. Inform your doctor about all prescribed and non-prescribed medications or herbal products you use and especially about clozapine, digoxin, disulfiram, kava, certain anti-depressants (fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, nefazodone), certain anti-seizure medications (phenytoin, phenobarbital), cimetidine, macrolide antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin), rifamycins (rifampin), ritonavir. Make your doctor away if you are taking drugs that cause drowsiness (antihistamines such as diphenhydramine), anti-seizure drugs (carbamazepine), sleeping pills (sedatives), muscle relaxants, narcotic pain relievers (codeine), psychiatric medicines (phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, tricyclic anti-depressants such as amitriptyline), tranquilizers.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose of this medication, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, do not take the forgotten dose and return to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses of this drug at once.
Overdose
If you experience loss of consciousness; loss of coordination; severe confusion; severe drowsiness or deep sleep; slow reflexes seek for immediate medical help.
Storage
Store this medication at 77 F (25 C) away from heat, moisture, and sunlight.
